Maple Park Cemetery was founded in 1900 with burials beginning in 1901 to 1902. Over 8,400 former residents of Aurora are resting in peace at Maple Park. In fact, the town's first Mayor, Carr McNatt, is buried at Maple Park.
Although the cemetery was founded in 1900, the oldest grave dates back to 1892 and was transported from the " Aurora cemetery" to the new "Maple Park cemetery."
For more information on city fees and policies regarding burial, please review the Cemetery Policies (PDF).
