The Aurora Police Department is seeking a full-time Communications Officer. Responsibilities include: answering Enhanced 9-1-1 emergency and non-emergency calls for public safety services; classifying calls for service; radio dispatching of Police, Fire and EMS units; operating a Computer Aided Dispatch System and many other related duties. Experience preferred but not required. Must be available any shift and have no criminal history. Starting pay with no previous experience is $10.23/hour plus benefits. The City of Aurora is accepting applications for a Park Maintenance III Technician/Cemetery Assistant. This position is responsible for maintaining park land and playground equipment, maintaining ball fields for league and tournament play and supervision of seasonal employees to perform mowing and general maintenance. This position will assist the Cemetery Sexton in the maintenance and operations of the Cemeteries. Candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment and must either possess, or be able to obtain a valid Missouri Class E CDL within 90 days. This position will manage all sports leagues for the city, as well as manage any other community events sponsored by the city. Candidates should have knowledge or work experience in the area of recreation management, budgeting, and event coordination.
