Southern Lawrence County Enhanced Enterprise Zone
Effective January 9, 2009 a new Enhanced Enterprise Zone was designated for all of southern Lawrence County (including Aurora). This overlays a benefit to the area for new and existing businesses, that meet a specific industrial classification and make the qualified investment, to receive tax credits and property tax abatements. Businesses that are not eligible for this benefit include retail, restaurants, gambling establishments, schools and government.
